ADNOC Distribution to Regulate Sale of LPG Cylinders in Abu Dhabi Emirate through Rahal e-Gas Cards from 1 October

ADNOC Distribution will begin the regulated sale of LPG cylinders through Rahal e-Gas cards according to set monthly quotas from 1 October in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

ADNOC Distribution will begin the regulated sale of LPG cylinders through Rahal e-Gas cards according to set monthly quotas from 1 October in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The announcement follows the close of the pre-assigned deadline that aimed to provide customers with adequate time to process applications for Rahal e-Gas cards. According to the new monthly quotas set by ADNOC Distribution, Emirati families are permitted to purchase AED150 worth of LPG cylinders. While single Emirati citizens have been allocated a monthly quota of AED70, resident expat families and single expat residents are permitted to purchase AED70 and AED40 worth of LPG cylinders respectively. With effect from 1 October, ADNOC Distribution will continue to issue Rahal e-Gas cards to customers at an additional fee of AED50 that will be deducted from the first time application charge of AED200. The remaining balance on the Rahal e-Gas card can then be used for the purchase of LPG cylinders. Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said: “ADNOC Distribution will start regulating the sale of LPG cylinders in the emirate of Abu Dhabi through Rahal e-Gas cards to enhance the accessibility and credibility of this service and to further align our offerings with the UAE’s vision of migrate all functions to smart platforms, a move that will eventually benefit our end-users.” Al Dhaheri added: “We have adopted a flexible strategy throughout while implementing the regulation process in keeping with customer needs and requests to make sure our services and products available to a greater database of end-users. From 1 October, ADNOC Distribution will also start implementing the new unified prices for the sale of unsubsidised LPG cylinders across our service stations network in the UAE. Our customers, both families and individuals can purchase these cylinders using variable payment methods, including cash or credit cards, among others.” The new price of unsubsidised LPG cylinders in the emirate of Abu Dhabi have been set at AED40 for the 25 lbs capacity cylinder and AED80 for each 50 lbs capacity cylinder during the month of October. ADNOC Distribution will announce revised monthly prices for unsubsidised cylinders on the 10th of every month based on global fuel prices. Currently, ADNOC Distribution provides registration and issuance of Rahal e-Gas cards across all of its Rahal centres, including ADNOC Distribution’s Head Office in Abu Dhabi, Rahal centres at the Airport Road service station, Musaffah station and Khalifa City station. Customers can also apply for e-Gas cards, at the Al Ain Regional Office and Western Region centre in Madinat Zayed. The cards are available across 139 different service stations across the emirate of Abu Dhabi, 81 of them are in Abu Dhabi city, 39 in Al Ain and 19 in the Western Region. Customers are encouraged to use the online application form available on the company website (www.adnocdistribution.ae) as a faster and more convenient way to get the Rahal e-Gas card.
