ADNOC Distribution Marks 45th National Day

The activities and events including folk dances, poetry recitation and a heritage exhibition attracted the overwhelming support and broad-based participation of employees, their families and their guests.

ADNOC Distribution yesterday brought together the company’s employees, their families and the wider public in celebrating the 45th UAE National Day with a host of festive and patriotic activities at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The activities and events including folk dances, poetry recitation and a heritage exhibition attracted the overwhelming support and broad-based participation of employees, their families and their guests. The ceremony also drew the participation of senior ADNOC Distribution management including Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer. Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi extended his best wishes to the UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, their Highnesses the Members of the Federal Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates and Crown Princes, as well as the citizens and residents of the UAE. Al Rashdi also commented on the importance of National Day festivities across the UAE: "Our National Day over the past four decades has not been limited to mere celebrations. It provides a unique opportunity for both citizens and residents to renew their loyalty and commitment to the values promoted by our founding fathers and visionary leaders. Every year on 2 December, we acknowledge the efforts of these distinguished individuals who helped us achieve unprecedented progress and greatness for our country across various fields." Honouring the sacrifices of the UAE martyrs and commemorating the heroes who have given their lives for our country, Al Rashdi noted: "Today we seek God’s mercy for all those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty since the establishment of the UAE federation in 1971 - beginning with Salim Suhail bin Khamis, the UAE’s first martyr."
