ADNOC Distribution Hosts Joint Inspection Group Workshop for Aviation Fuelling Services

Held at ADNOC Distribution’s training centre at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the workshop aimed to help participants qualify as international inspectors in aviation fuelling services at airports. The JIG-accredited training centre has been conducting workshops since December 2014.

For the third consecutive year, ADNOC Distribution hosted a Joint Inspection Group (JIG) workshop for 12 representatives from global blue-chip entities engaged in the aviation fuelling services sector. Held at ADNOC Distribution’s training centre at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, the workshop aimed to help participants qualify as international inspectors in aviation fuelling services at airports. The JIG-accredited training centre has been conducting workshops since December 2014. Speaking on the initiative, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: “Our partnership with JIG, which started three years ago, articulates our continuous efforts to improve our services, drive our competitive edge, and expand our strategic and commercial network locally, regionally and internationally. Our latest workshop further reiterated the shared synergy with JIG. Based on the feedback received from participants, we are confident that the training will help to ensure the delivery of exemplary inspection practices across the global aviation sector.” Led by industry experts, the workshop offered key insights on the tested and most effective inspection practices to evaluate the safety of fuelling depots and fuelling operations at airports, ensure the continued provision of high-end fuelling services, and prepare related reports. ADNOC Distribution’s fuelling depots infrastructure at the Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as the company’s commitment to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards across its operations were also highlighted as part of the session. Al Rashdi added: “Given the UAE aviation sector’s ambitious progress, ADNOC Distribution is pleased to ensure the consistent performance of our aviation fuelling division to enhance our operational efficiency. As part of this priority, we have lately started building new depots in KIZAD to provide the Abu Dhabi International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport with Jet A-1 fuel. “Given the huge significance of the aviation sector to the nation’s GDP and its highly specialised operations, ADNOC Distribution is fully committed to implementing best-in-class HSSE, integrity and quality management standards across our aviation sector assets. These include fuelling operations and logistical services.” ADNOC Distribution was selected as a partner and member of IATA and as an associate member of the Joint Inspection Group in 2011. To date, the company has catered to more than 200 regional and international customers in the civil and military sectors, with superior quality products and services that are distributed through state-of-the-art fuelling facilities at seven international airports across the UAE.
