  1. Countries with the highest usage rates of NGV in the world include China, Argentina and Pakistan.
  2. It was reported in 2015 that over 22 million vehicles run on natural gas with the number increasing every year. 
  3. Reputable manufacturers like Honda, Mercedes, Audi, Ford, Scania, and GM have manufactured NGV (OEM) dedicated vehicles/engines.
  4. There are more than 80 countries that use NGV.
  5. There are truck-transportable natural gas cylinders making CNG accessible and available in any required area that trucks can reach.
  6. According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), NG is the one of the cleanest transportation fuels; Natural Gas not only produces less carbon dioxide, but also generates lower levels of carbon monoxide, non-methane organic gas and nitrogen oxides.
  7. NGV engines produce about 25% less carbon dioxide than gasoline and 35% less than diesel, making NG one of the best environmentally friendly fuels.
  8. Historically, NG prices have proven to be stable, while gasoline and diesel prices are unpredictable and may rise at any point in time. Thus better planning can be made for future costs with NGV due its price stability when compared to other fuels.
  9. NGV engines are less noisy than both petrol and diesel engines.
  10. NG is not a new fuel technology. NG has been used in many applications for over 60 years.
  11. Unlike gasoline, which spills and moves downwards creating a potential fire risk in the event of leakage, compressed natural gas rises and rapidly disperses in the air.
  12. In 2009 the biogas Audi A4 entered the record books by achieving 364.6 km/h, thus becoming the fastest NGV/CNG-driven car in the world.
  13. NGV/CNG requires a 600º C temperature for ignition while gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas ignite at 450º C. This is the reason why it is more unlikely that NGV will catch fire under normal circumstances.
  14. NGV/gasoline bi-fuel system increases a vehicle’s driving distance due to having two fuel tanks which can be used interchangeably.
