Statement On False Attribution Regarding Fuelling Tanks to Capacity in Summer Months

ADNOC Distribution wishes to confirm that a statement on social media platforms attributed to the company on the dangers of fuelling car tanks to maximum capacity in summer months has not been issued by us. The statement implies that doing so could potentially result in fire/explosion hazards in summer.
Commenting on the Subject, Khalid Hadi, Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications at ADNOC Distribution Said: “we would like to point out that filling fuel tanks to full capacity does not imply any risks as all car fuel tanks are designed to withstand pressure build-up in high temperatures.”
“Furthermore, ADNOC Distribution has not registered any such previous incident. The rumor attributed to us is based on unknown sources, and is therefore completely false.”
Hadi added: “We advise ADNOC Distribution customers in the UAE to continue enjoying our retail services through the ADNOC Distribution network of service stations that conform to the highest safety and security standards and protocols.”
