ADNOC Distribution organized a simulation fire and evacuation drill at Mazyad service station in Al Ain.

ADNOC Distribution organized a simulation fire and evacuation drill at Mazyad service station in Al Ain. The fire drill was held in collaboration with Abu Dhabi General Civil Defense Directorate, and Al Ain Emergency Directorate, as well as several divisions of Abu Dhabi Police such as Department of Special Tasks, Traffic Department, Department of Emergency and Safety, Quick Intervention Center and Community Police. In addition to assessing the risk management measures in place the fire drill also aimed to test preparedness and readiness capabilities internally as well as externally in handling emergency scenarios. It also served as an opportunity to test actual simulation of site personnel response, external and internal communication, equipment handling, response time and mutual aid agreement. Such exercises allow the company to respond to emergencies in the most effective manner in case of real time crises. His Excellency Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: “ADNOC Distribution is keen to maintain the highest levels of health, safety and environment standards. This practical fire drill helps us to assess our readiness to meet crises situations that may arise across our service stations and facilities and is in line with our vision to ensure quality work environments. Such exercises enable ADNOC Distribution to raise awareness and preparedness among employees and partners from external entities on relevant safety procedures, while encouraging them to follow best practices in crises situations.” Al Dhaheri added: “We would like to thank all relevant authorities who demonstrated excellent synergy in collaborating on this fire drill towards ensuring the security of the community. We also wish to thank our customers for their patience and understanding in making this exercise a success.” The outcome of this exercise will be recorded to identify any potential areas of improvement.
