ADNOC Distribution Expands its Marine Service Station Network

In line with the initiatives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to ensure the highest quality of life for the people of the UAE and support the country’s sustainable development, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, opened recently Ghalila marine service station located near the Ghalila Fishermen Association in Ras Al Khaimah. The opening ceremony was attended by Eng. Abdullah Al Neyadi, ?Projects Unit Head at Crown Prince Court, Munther Mohammed Bin Shekar, Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Eng. Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed Al Hammadi, Director General of Public Works and Services Department, Saif Mohammed Al Ghais, CEO of the Environment Protection and Development Authority (EPDA) of Ras Al Khaimah, in addition to a number of senior ADNOC Distribution officials. Serving fishermen, boat owners, and motorists, the station features two islands located inland and one marine island. It is fitted out with three pumps offering the fuel varieties of E-Plus 91, Special 95, and Green Diesel. Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of ADNOC Distribution, said: “Ghalila marine service station is part of a new range of service stations that offers both marine and inland services. Our network now comprises three such facilities across the country, enabling us to provide services to a greater number of customers in areas where demand from boat owners and motorists is rapidly increasing.” In addition to 24x7fuelling services, Ghalila marine service station features a wide range of modern facilities to ensure convenience and quality services to boat owners and motorists, including an ADNOC Oasis convenience store and a number of shops for lease. The facility boasts a floating dock and flood spotlights to provide effective service during night shifts. It also features a fire-resistant design and incorporates a range of advanced fire-fighting equipment to extinguish any accidental fires. Furthermore, the station has been provided with floating sea barriers and marine safety corridors mandated by the company’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) standards. The facility is also fitted out with state-of-the-art HSE equipment, creating a safer and healthier environment for employees and customers as well as residents of the surrounding areas. A CCTV system covers every square metre of the premises, along with sensors that monitor the length of time vehicles spend parked in the slots designated for customers. The station also uses a vapour recovery system that protects the environment by extracting fumes discharged from fuel tankers. Taweela Marine Service Station ADNOC Distribution also announced the opening of Taweela marine service station located near the new fishermen harbour in Taweela, Abu Dhabi. Featuring one island with one dispenser, the facility caters to the requirements of fishermen and boat owners offering Special 95 and Green Diesel from 6am to 10pm. Al Rashdi added: “The launch of these marine facilities demonstrates our commitment to catering to the specific requirements of our customers, including fishermen and boat owners. We seek to achieve this goal through expanding our marine service station network in tandem with the rapid population and urban growth witnessed by the UAE.”
